Head of Azerbaijan-Japan Working Group on Interparliamentary Relations of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Mukhtar Babayev and Vice-president of State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elshad Nasirov visited Japan.

On 23-27 October, 2017 Head of Azerbaijan-Japan Working Group on Interparliamentary Relations of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Mukhtar Babayev and Vice-president of State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elshad Nasirov visited Japan to participate "International Gas Union" meeting.

During the visit they had meetings with Mr.Akira Amari, Chairman of Japan-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship League, member of the House of Representatives, Mr.Takeo Hirata, Mr.Isao Iijima, Mr.Tomohiko Taniguchi special advisors to the Prime Minister of Japan, Mr.Masakazu Kubota, Director General of KEIDANREN and Masahiro Imai, President of ITOCHU Chemistry and Energy Company.  Bilateral relations, especially in economic sphere were the main theme of discussions.
